All ANA 787-8s starting with JA803A have had big aircraft type titles applied on top of the regular scheme; this ended with the delivery of JA824A in January 2014. From ship 825 ANA Dreamliners were delivered in the standard scheme. JA818A was the last aircraft to carry the titles and they were finally removed in February 2020.

All Nippon finally took delivery of its first Dreamliner in late 2011, with the first two wearing a stand-alone livery. JA801A was the very first 787 to enter commercial service on October 26th, 2011 with a flight between Tokyo-Narita and Hong Kong.
